DeleteI have always loved Mirrors! I usually see them as Gateways to the realm of the Fae, but have used them to magnify and reflect healing work. I have a dark mirror I work with when scrying, to some limited success. Can't wait to learn more, whether or not I win the raffle!

ReplyDeleteI have 3 magic mirrors, each of which I use slightly differently. Several years ago, my coven did a ritual honoring Hathor, and we each decorated a mirror and dedicated it to Hathor to help us to see the beauty within ourselves. My second mirror was made from a concave clock face, it's painted black and is kept in a special box made just for it, and it sits on a bed of black velvet. I've dedicated it to Cerridwen and its used when communing with Her. The last one was a gift from my best friends. It's in an ornate silver frame. It isn't dedicated to a specific deity so that I can use it more freely. It's the one that I reach for the most because it's the most versatile. I would love to win this prize box because I could learn new ways to use one of my favorite tools. I could also use it as a teaching aid for a class with my coven!

ReplyDeleteI have an 2 antique magic mirrors that I use depending on what I am needing it for. I made a scrying mirror from an antique gold picture frame& painted the glass black. I would absolutely love to read your book Mickie. I'm always open to learning something new & creating new things. Is it reflecting or a reflection? Look deep, it does the soul good to really look into the mirror. Looking forward to reading your new book.

When I was a child, there was a particular mirror my "aunt" had that always seemed "extra", but I never figured out why until years after it was lost. It would be interesting to learn more about them. :)

ReplyDeleteBooks nowadays have no vision when describing the past or history they, lack the tools to take us there even visual. I am sure your book will achieve the goal of doing that.
I only use mirrors for scrying.

ReplyDeleteI've never used mirrors in my magical work. Someone gave me a warning once to be careful not to trap yourself in a mirror spell so I've shyed away from them since. This book would be a great tool to help open that avenue of spell casting.
