You don't have to use the same brands and colors that I did, so you can see I have not brand loyalty when it comes to my nail polish, so dig through what you have, grab a nice shade of blue, that old french manicure white, some glitter, and a touch of silver for the tips. You'll also need an old toothbrush, one you don't use any more. Get the old nail polish removed and let's get frozen nails!
Supplies in order of use, Nail file (I love my glass files we have in our Etsy shop, shown here Midnight Ice Faerie of course) base coat of your choice, Wet & Wild Blue Visionary, Sally Hanson White On (you'll be applying this with an old toothbrush), NYC White Lights Glitter, Sally Hanson Celeb City, top coat of your choice.
Smooth your nails with a nail file. This crystal glass nail file is very durable and the ideal tool to keep your smooth and flawless manicure. These files are gentle and don't leave rough edges on your nails. Crystal glass nail files glide across the nail sealing the tip as they file.
Apply a good quality base coat first, this makes your color last longer. Next apply two coats of blue, let it dry in between coats. I used Wet & Wild Blue Visionary.
Next drop a bit of white nail polish onto a surface you can toss later, I used a plastic baggie. Dip the tips of the bristles of your toothbrush in. I used Sally Hanson White On.
Use the toothbrush to speckle the tips of your nails with frost. Apply it about 1/2 way down the nail getting a bit more on the tip.
Now using just the tip of the brush, do a really messy french tip, you want it to be jagged, not a straight line across.
If you're looking for the glass nail file seen in this tutorial, you can get one in my Etsy shop.
